Stainless Motors Inc. offers S-Flex style couplings (compatible with standard Noeprene, EPDM, or Hytrel™ Sure-Flex™ elements) with the same corrosion resistance as our motors. Using industry standard flexible elements, they are suitable for washdown locations and are available in inch or metric bores.

How to select an element
Neoprene and EPDM load ratings are the same.
To select the correct coupling for your application, determine the load rating by dividing the motor horsepower by the coupling RPM.
Caution: EPDM and Neoprene elements are suitable for misalignments up to 1°. While its load rating is higher, Hytrel is much stiffer and only suitable for 1/4° misalignment. Stainless Motors recommends using EPDM or Neoprene whenever possible.
